The role involves taking intellectual leadership in research, publishing findings, and supervising research activities.

Responsibilities

Publish scientific findings in peer-reviewed journals (expected 2–3 publications per year)
Support the PI in grant development and submission
Supervise graduate and undergraduate research activities related to human data acquisition, data quality control, data analysis, result interpretation, presentations, and manuscript preparation
Contribute to the development of new research studies, laboratory manuals, and standard operating procedures
Participate actively in lab meetings and collaborative research activities

Qualification

Ph.D. in NeuroscienceStatistical software proficiencyHuman biomechanicsHuman neuroimagingProgramming MATLABProgramming PythonCommunication skillsTeam collaborationOrganizational skills

Required

A Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Rehabilitation Science, Psychology, Kinesiology, or a closely related field
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based research environment
Proficiency with at least one statistical software package and experience conducting quantitative analyses
Strong organizational skills and motivation to lead complex human-subjects research

Preferred

Experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable: Human biomechanics (e.g., motion capture, kinetics, EMG)
Human neuroimaging (e.g., T1-, T2-weighted MRI, diffusion-weighted imaging)
Programming experience (e.g., MATLAB or Python)
Demonstrated trajectory toward applying for an NIH K-award within two years of appointment
