Solutions Architect - AWS WWPS DOD, US Navy Solutions Architecture
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Solutions Architect to support U.S. Department of Defense organizations by implementing innovative cloud computing solutions. The role involves owning technical engagements, defining implementation architectures, and providing expertise in AWS technologies while addressing customer needs in the Defense markets.

Responsibilities
Owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects
Defining implementation architectures
Providing inputs to RFI and RFP responses
Developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform
Being a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services
Providing thoughtful technical design and offer sensitivity to our customer needs in the Defense markets for cloud computing
Leading efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solution architect community
Creating, building, educating, training and designing cloud computing architectures, especially if it’s for DoD/DoW customers
Engaging in deep-dive technical discussions around design and maintaining a pulse on industry trends
Qualification
Required
2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
3+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
The candidate selected be a US Citizen and obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance
Preferred
Experience in technology/software sales, pre-sales, or consulting
Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective
