Responsibilities

Oversee the daily internal hospice operations related to EMR, Information Technology (all applications), and office management
Oversee future AI applications/patient portal
Supervise and support EMR/IT specialist, office manager, volunteer manager, receptionist, and philanthropy team
Provide leadership and strategic direction for philanthropy programs, including donor relations, fundraising campaigns, and stewardship activities
Develop and implement strategies to grow volunteer services, ensuring recruitment, training, and retention of volunteers to support hospice care
Collaborate with director team to identify operational barriers and implement process improvements
Maintain readiness and responsiveness for day-to-day operational needs, resource allocation, and problem resolution
Monitor internal operations to ensure efficiency, consistency, and adherence to Grace Hospice standards
Partner with CEO to manage budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure cost-effective operations
Participate in strategic planning and organizational initiatives to support growth and sustainability
Serve as a central communication point for operations-related issues between field staff and leadership
Oversee special projects as assigned
Lead and develop a high-performing team through clear communication, accountability, and coaching
Promote teamwork, professionalism, and a mission-driven culture throughout the organization

Required

Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field required
Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare operations management; hospice or home health experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated success leading teams, improving workflows, and managing cross-departmental functions
Knowledge of hospice operations, Medicare regulations, and EMR systems (MatrixCare preferred)
Experience in a nonprofit or mission-driven healthcare organization
Proven ability to balance compassion with operational accountability
