The Business Analyst will support the design and implementation of health information technologies, acting as a liaison between technical solutions and business users while optimizing IT platforms and data assets.

Responsibilities

Continually expands knowledge of the organization and health center business challenges and priorities in order to optimize the effectiveness of and engagement with the organization’s population health platform
Develops and manages a comprehensive system and process to manage internal (inside the organization and from health centers) requests for change in software functionality, data analysis, and special reporting; assesses these requests to affirm value of requested change, or provides the requester with an existing alternative solution, and/or clarification of optimal system use
Works closely with business stakeholders not only to understand the business requirements, but also to collaborate with these stakeholders to efficiently and effectively shape IT requirements to ensure the solution meets business objectives
Produces standard internal reports and deliverables, such as IT-specific dashboards and written analysis of population health system upgrades
Provides support in testing and validation activities, including documenting test plans, creating and running test scripts, and documenting and submitting issues to internal or vendor teams for correction

Required

Demonstrated ability to understand, analyze, document, and explain business processes and the data that underly them
Experience working with Electronic Health Records, population health software, medical claims, and other health care data
Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office
Flexible and adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to work independently
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Superior skills in follow-through, self-directed work and independent problem solving
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent domain experience
1-3 years of relevant experience

Preferred

Experience with anti-racist work and/or lived experience with racism is preferred
Familiarity with the MassHealth ACO program
Familiarity with Federally Qualified Health Centers
Experience with anti-racism activities, and/or lived experience with racism is highly preferred
