Responsibilities

Management, planning, coordination and execution of Projects within Y-12 Production, including Process Improvements, and new equipment installations

Coordinating special initiatives critical to the success of Y-12 Production Operations by forming, leading, and participating in teams to drive resolutions and successful implementations

Ability to identify cross functional team members and delegate actions to be completed

Interface with Program Managers and Production Integration to ensure Program objectives remain on target with ongoing projects and work; including determining project risks, capabilities, establishing deliverables and driving accountability

Develop and presents presentations supporting Y-12 Production project deliverables on behalf of the Operations Health organization to various internal and external customers

Manages the development of technical solutions for customer requirements and ensures the technical specifications required for the customer are met

Performing assessments of operations, facilities, and processes to measure performance and identify deficiencies

Supporting occurrence reporting, issues management, and management assessments to ensure timely reporting, investigations, and identification of trends with cross cutting impacts for production

Ability to work independently to resolve project issues

Ability to understand, utilize and implement basic Earned Value Management principles

Required

Bachelor's degree: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience

OR Master's degree: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience

OR PhD

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status

The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required

This position may require entry into the Material Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (10 C.F.R. Part 712), which requires successful competition of a DOE counterintelligence evaluation and may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination

This position may be categorized as a 'designated position' identified by 10 C.F.R. Part 709, requiring successful completion of a DOE counterintelligence evaluation that may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination
