Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service and regularly contact prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders
Recommend products to customers, based on their specific needs and interests
Answer customer questions relating to products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms. Solicit new accounts, as well as work on unsold accounts and existing accounts
Maintain margin, as well as sales volume to objective
Work with car dealer parts and service department as well as assisting dealers with warranty claims and point of sale
Plan and hold tire events
Collect past due accounts and manage expenses
Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates
Prepare drawings, estimates, and bids that meet specific customer needs
Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences
Arrange and direct delivery and installation of products and equipment
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 1 year experience in tire sales is a plus
High school diploma or equivalent is required
Valid driver's license is required
Preferred
A minimum of one (1) year related experience in tire sales is preferred but not required
A two or four-year college degree is also preferred but not required
