Responsibilities
Own end-to-end feature development across our React dashboard and Node.js/GraphQL backend, shipping customer-facing products that support 1,000+ enterprise customers
Architect and evolve APIs that handle millions of daily requests at scale, optimizing for performance, reliability, and developer experience
Integrate AI/ML capabilities (OpenAI, Claude, Vertex AI) into the platform, building RAG pipelines, semantic search, and intelligent automation features
Lead architectural decisions for platform expansion, defining patterns that enable customers and partners to build on Spot AI
Collaborate with Product and UX to identify customer problems and ship solutions that directly impact retention and expansion
Build and optimize multi-tenant infrastructure (PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Redis, Kubernetes) to support video processing at massive scale
Drive technical excellence through code reviews, architecture discussions, and establishing patterns that help the team ship faster
Pioneer AI-augmented development practices, using coding agents not as crutches but as leverage to tackle more ambitious technical problems
Qualification
Required
At least 6 years of shipping complex, production quality code
Significant experience defining and implementing GraphQL server APIs and RESTful APIs for public consumption
Ability to write well designed, tested, and maintainable code
Preferred
Serious interest in transitioning into engineering management
Modern frontend framework engineering experience
Curiosity and willingness to jump into unfamiliar codebases
Strong sense of UX design
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Experience using Git, Jira, and Linux
Strong customer-first mindset
