Responsibilities
Supporting both direct and indirect patient care under the guidance of a registered nurse
Clean and decontaminate designated areas
Perform between-case and terminal cleanings
Manage precaution room cleaning with precision and care
Help maintain a sterile environment
Turn over patient care rooms efficiently
Ensure each space is fully prepped for the next patient
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices
Preferred
Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, along with prior experience working in a hospital setting
Candidates with previous experience in a direct patient care role, particularly within an Operating Room environment, are highly desirable
Strong customer care or patient service experience is also preferred, as this role requires professionalism, compassion, and effective communication
A stable work history demonstrating reliability, accountability, and commitment to quality care will further distinguish top candidates
