Defining and governing global supplier capability and technical roadmaps
Leading the category’s technical direction and ensuring alignment across divisions and regions
Monitoring innovations, emerging technologies, and industry trends to guide the long‑term category strategy
Serving as the primary technical partner for category‑relevant R&D teams
Influencing divisional technology direction and ensuring supplier capabilities enable future product needs
Maintaining deep understanding of the full product lifecycle and how supplier performance shapes strategy
Engaging early in new product development to shape sourcing strategy and supplier selection
Accelerating development timelines by minimizing rework and enabling optimal design solutions
Participating as a technical authority in governance forums and critical decision‑making reviews
Setting technical directions for supplier engineering and advising supplier quality and commercial sourcing
Guiding the development of tools and frameworks necessary for a high‑performing global category team
Mentoring junior supplier engineers to elevate technical talent across regions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline
Minimum 7 years of technical experience supporting complex mechanical or electrical systems
Experience developing long‑term technical strategies and influencing at senior leadership levels
Ability travel to up to 20% globally
Preferred
Experience in medical devices, regulated manufacturing, or GMP environments
Ability to lead cross‑functional technical teams without direct authority
Effective communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders across all organizational levels
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to develop internal and external relationships
Ability to mentor and provide technical leadership to engineering talent
Strong strategic thinking with systems‑level problem‑solving capability
