Responsibilities
Design mechanical components and assemblies from initial requirements through supplier production and manufacturing ramp
Develop parts across a wide range of scales, from micro-feature components to large structural hardware and tooling
Perform structural and thermal analysis to validate performance and reliability
Partner closely with electrical, firmware, optical, and process engineering teams to deliver tightly integrated systems
Create fixtures, interfaces, and tooling to support high-throughput manufacturing operations
Support design for manufacturability, assembly optimization, and continuous production improvements
Translate first-principles engineering concepts into practical, scalable hardware solutions
Qualification
Required
BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline
CAD proficiency with hands-on project experience
Strong foundation in mechanical fundamentals and first-principles problem solving
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative engineering environment
Preferred
Experience with structural, thermal, or multiphysics analysis tools (ANSYS Mechanical, Icepak, Fluent, or similar)
3+ years of direct experience in a mechanical engineering role supporting product development or manufacturing
Exposure to electro-mechanical systems, precision hardware, or advanced manufacturing environments
Experience designing for production, tooling, or high-rate assembly lines
