The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a motivated and talented Maintenance Repairman 1 to maintain the natural beauty of the Pinchot Forest District. In this role, you will provide trade services related to the repair and preventative maintenance of equipment and infrastructure, including mowing, trail construction, and wildfire suppression support.

Responsibilities

Providing trade services related to the repair and preventative maintenance of equipment and infrastructure within the Pinchot Forest District

Mowing grass with lawn care equipment

Installing and maintaining signs and gates

Setting up kiosks throughout the Pinchot State Forest

Constructing and maintaining trails and roads

Clearing snow from sidewalks and parking lots using basic snow removal tools

Supporting wildfire suppression efforts by maintaining equipment and participating in related activities

Qualification

General maintenanceBuilding tradesElectrical tradesMechanical tradesPennsylvania Class C License

Required

Two years of experience in general maintenance work which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or

Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities

This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License

You must meet the PA residency requirement

You must be able to perform essential job functions
