Responsibilities

Perform a variety of hand and machine fusion welding (Mig and Tig) operations to construct powder containers at a higher skill level
Clear understanding of shop mathematics involving decimals and fractions. Requires an advanced knowledge of fusion welding processes and terminology
Interface with Engineering or design personnel to facilitate fabrication
Work from blueprints, drawings, and sketches issued by the engineering dept
Ability to perform advance problem solving fabrication and equipment issues
Ability to work without supervision
Comply with all company rules and regulations outlined in the employee handbook
May be required to carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this position in support of department objectives and to develop one’s skills
Support the cell’s continuous improvement and all CORE and EH&S initiatives, including wearing required personal protective equipment
The position requires ascending, descending stairs, standing for extended periods, bending, squatting, twisting, overhead reach, and lifting up to 25 pounds
This position is for 8th Shift Monday - Thursday 10pm-8am

Required

HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Must have a strong attendance record
Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills
Must be able to work hours outside of the regular shift
Must have good mechanical aptitude
Must be able to wear a respirator
The position requires ascending, descending stairs, standing for extended periods, bending, squatting, twisting, overhead reach, and lifting up to 25 pounds
