Responsibilities
Lead and enforce site safety programs on bridge, highway, and heavy civil projects
Conduct daily jobsite safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments
Ensure compliance with OSHA, PennDOT, MUTCD, and company safety standards
Coordinate work zone traffic control and roadway safety measures
Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety violations; develop corrective actions
Deliver toolbox talks, safety orientations, and site-specific training
Support superintendents and foremen with safe work planning and job hazard analyses
Maintain safety documentation, reports, and regulatory records
Serve as the primary safety point of contact for field crews and management
Qualification
Required
5+ years of safety experience in heavy civil construction
Strong background in bridge, highway, and roadway construction
In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and MUTCD standards
Experience with excavation, utilities, concrete, steel, and heavy equipment operations
Ability to work full-time in the field across multiple job sites
Strong communication and leadership skills
