The role involves executing cybersecurity governance controls, validating compliance, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure effective control execution.

Responsibilities
Execute cybersecurity governance controls across 15–20 assigned applications
Identify assets tied to each application and validate compliance with internal security policies
Review evidence and reporting to determine whether applications meet required control expectations
Engage with application owners and delegates to clarify evidence, gather missing information, and support remediation planning
Document findings, status, and remediation paths within Jira
Use Excel to analyze data, track control status, and manage evidence (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros, etc.)
Collaborate with team members, engineers, architects, and mid‑level management to ensure accurate and timely control execution
Maintain clear, professional communication across all stakeholders
Support governance processes as workstreams evolve, including potential future consolidation efforts
Qualification
Required
2–5 years of experience executing cybersecurity or IT governance controls
Familiarity with NIST or similar frameworks (even though only a narrow subset is used)
Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, conditional logic, and data analysis
Hands‑on experience with Jira for workflow tracking and documentation
Demonstrated ability to follow structured procedures and control requirements precisely
Strong communication skills for interacting with application owners, managers, engineers, and architects
Prior experience in a large enterprise or financial institution
