Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain cloud-native data platforms using Databricks for ingestion, transformation, and consumption
Lead the end-to-end Oracle-to-Databricks migration, including schema translation, ETL/ELT modernization, and ODI job replacement
Develop reusable PySpark frameworks, data patterns, and orchestrations using Databricks Workflows
Build scalable, secure, and cost-efficient Databricks infrastructure and data pipelines
Collaborate with stakeholders to define and drive data modernization strategy
Establish development best practices, coding standards, CI/CD pipelines, and DataOps processes
Mentor engineering teams and provide technical guidance and training
Contribute to MLOps frameworks and advanced operational processes
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Architecture, with 5+ years hands-on Databricks experience
Strong experience migrating from Oracle/on-prem systems to Databricks, including SQL, PL/SQL, ETL logic, and ODI pipelines
Deep expertise in PySpark, Spark SQL, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and building high-performance batch & streaming pipelines
Proven experience in greenfield Databricks implementations
Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, especially on AWS, and modern data platform concepts
Solid knowledge of data warehousing, columnar databases, and performance optimization
Experience with Agile/Scrum development processes
Preferred
Designing Data Products or Data Mesh architectures
Experience with Data Vault or enterprise data governance models
Understanding of GoldenGate replication
