Responsibilities

This position is responsible for optimizing and maintaining inventory in SAP Hana
Position performs analysis, calculates economic order quantity, records minimums, maximums and reorder points and delivers data to inform acquisition strategy
Understands and educates users in definitions of inventory material types (critical spares, spares, order on demand) and holding types (stores, direct charge non-value)
Position requires a self-starter with ability to work under minimal supervision
Individual to provide central point of coordination to ensure material is received in a timely manner for stores and DCNV inventory procurements
Good working relationships with Suppliers, Shipping & Receiving, Engineering, Construction, Estimating, and within Supply Chain are essential
Works with Field Engineers (FE), Subcontract Technical Representatives (STR), or Technical Representatives (TR) to ensure materials are created and procured expediently
Incumbent will optimize inventory levels using data analytics and statistics associated with inventory turn analysis, forecasting models, demand history, item application, best business practices, expiration dates and excess/surplus analysis
Develops, monitors and maintains metrics in a dashboard configuration for consistency and visualization
Incumbent will ensure requisitions and purchase orders are approved in a timeframe to support production and maintenance schedules
Interfaces with Production personnel to identify critical materials required
Interfaces with receiving to ensure that materials clear quickly when received and are delivered to the appropriate site location
Incumbent will obtain copies of supplier's orders for material, performs sub-supplier expediting, where necessary, and work closely with supplier quality representatives to ensure awareness of materials subject to quality performance and their locations of manufacture

Required

Bachelor's degree: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
OR Master's degree: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
OR Ten or more years of education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting
Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status
The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required
This position may require entry into the Material Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (10 C.F.R. Part 712), which requires successful competition of a DOE counterintelligence evaluation and may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination
This position may be categorized as a 'designated position' identified by 10 C.F.R. Part 709, requiring successful completion of a DOE counterintelligence evaluation that may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination

As an employee, you may be required to receive and maintain a security clearance from the United States Department of Energy in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to sensitive information or matter

Preferred

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and 5 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree in supply chain management, materials management, inventory control and procurement
Must be proficient in SAP
Requires outstanding computer skills with specific work experience using data management and analysis tools such as Excel, JMP, R and reporting tools such as Tableau and Power BI
Applicant must have good organizational skills, be detailed oriented, and have the ability to multi-task
Ability to manage, organize, and analyze large amounts of data
Must be a good communicator with the ability to influence others
