Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the digital engineering team, driving technical excellence, establishing best practices, and ensuring the use of industry-standard methodologies and technologies
Research and evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in the digital health space
Utilize advanced programming skills to design and implement complex features, optimize performance, and ensure code quality
Identify and solve complex technical problems that arise during the development process
Deliver technical insights and recommendations to drive informed decision-making, ensuring that technical solutions align with business goals
Provide recommendations on technology selection and integration, considering factors such as performance, scalability, security, accessibility, and maintainability
Apply deep technical expertise to troubleshoot issues, provide guidance to the development team, and drive the resolution of technical challenges
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, architects, and software developers, to define technical requirements and create robust and scalable architectures that meet business objectives
Mentor and guide junior engineers, helping them enhance their technical skills and grow professionally through knowledge-sharing activities, technical training, and fostering a culture of learning within the team
Qualification
Required
8+ years of experience in large scale software development
7+ years of solution design and/or architecture experience, including capturing requirements in a customer-facing capacity
5+ years of experience in designing and developing solutions using NodeJS, highly scalable microservices, REST APIs
3+ years of experience in AWS technology stack
Preferred
Excellent collaboration and communication skills required to ideate solutions that are sufficient and feasible to both the business leads and the technical teams
Exceptional organizational, analytical, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and time management abilities
Experience with optimization skills to improve performance, scalability, and usability of our applications
Ability to develop technical briefs and detailed solution designs
Extensive knowledge of engineering processes, structural design, and system optimization
Experience solutioning auth mechanisms
Experience designing & supporting server systems with multiple clients
Experience designing & supporting systems with heavy business logic
Knowledge of emerging and agentic technologies
