Responsibilities
Handles AR and AP functions
Assists with the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
Maintains inter-company transactions, billings, and reconciliation
Collects time sheet data and works with HR and Finance to produce weekly and monthly labor reporting and analysis
Assists team members with inventory management and cycle counting
Helps prepare for annual physical inventory
Performs various office management tasks as needed
Assists HR with clerical duties
Coordinate and execute lunch orders for internal meetings and visiting guests
Contributes to the implementation, maintenance, and adherence to internal controls under SOX and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Produces complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Assists in the preparation and analysis of monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management upon request; takes part in special projects and impromptu reporting
Assists in overseeing depreciation, fixed asset ledgers
Assists with annual audit preparations
Assists with preparing and monitoring budgets
Investigates and resolves audit findings, account discrepancies and issues of noncompliance
Supports and trains staff as required or assigned
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated ability to link and analyze plant operational metrics to financial performance
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong interpersonal and team building skills including the ability to interact comfortably and respectfully with all levels of plant and corporate personnel
Client-driven with strong attention to detail & capable of delivering accurate, quality results in a timely, consistent & professional manner
Well-developed computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (esp. Excel)
Must be detail oriented
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required; 4+ years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing accounting/finance role may be considered in lieu of a degree
Preferred
Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
Experience in AR / AP preferred
Experience in ERP systems, EPICOR, SAP, or Ariba preferred
Experience with SAP or EPICOR is advantageous, though not mandatory
Power BI a plus
