The Development Director will guide the planning and execution of yearly fundraising efforts while managing a high-performing team and strengthening donor relationships.

Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and evaluate the annual campaign strategy to meet revenue goals across individual giving, monthly giving, and seasonal appeals
Lead and manage a high-performing development team
Manage, steward, and grow a portfolio of major donors
Represent City Care in the community through engaging presentations and speaking engagements
Analyze giving trends and produce regular reports to guide strategy and forecast campaign performance
Oversee the creation and execution of campaign materials, including mailings, digital appeals, targeted outreach, and donor impact communications
Partner with the Senior Director of Development and broader development team to align annual giving with organizational priorities
Collaborate with Communications to ensure cohesive messaging and storytelling throughout all campaign channels
Coordinate donor segmentation, prospect identification, and targeted cultivation strategies
Manage stewardship activities through timely acknowledgments, personalized touchpoints, and opportunities for deeper engagement
Oversee ideation and creation of donor events, including planning, follow-up, and data capture
Oversee accurate donor records and campaign metrics in the donor database
Qualification
Required
Experience in fundraising, annual giving, or campaign management
A strategic thinker who brings initiative, creativity, and commitment to City Care's mission
Proven ability to manage timelines, coordinate projects, and move multiple priorities forward
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on relationship building
Familiarity with donor management systems, digital fundraising platforms, and segmented outreach
