Responsibilities
Own overall testing and quality of the technologies for which you are responsible
Design, develop and own automated tests for new and existing Camera APIs across Apple platforms
Contribute and maintain continuous integration (CI) systems which helps developers run their tests 24x7 in lab
Contribute to development of test frameworks & tools to support large scale testing on shipping & in-development Apple Systems
Identify, investigate and drive resolution of complex issues spanning APIs, OS and device capabilities
Collaborate closely with camera framework engineers, system teams, hardware partners and project management teams to ensure quality releases of new features and enhancements
Advocate for quality throughout the development lifecycle, from early design reviews to final release validation and help ensure that Apple’s camera APIs are reliable, performant, and delightful for developers to use
Qualification
Required
Solid API test development skills
Familiarity with Python, C/ObjectiveC programming
Bachelor's in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience/skills
Preferred
Experience with developing, testing, or debugging device drivers, firmware, or other low-level software
Experience in photography; ability to understand various camera technology terms like aperture control, exposure values, JPEG format, Raw format etc
Experience in developing and maintaining CI systems
Highly motivated, creative, and organized
Strong problem solving skills and excellent cross-functional communication
