Cybersecurity CMMC Lead Assessor

Responsibilities
Lead and manage cybersecurity engagements across multiple service areas, including CMMC assessments and readiness, cyber risk assessments, compliance programs, vCISO support, incident response, and operational resilience
Serve as the project lead for engagements, overseeing planning, execution, quality control, and delivery within scope, budget, and timeline
Translate cybersecurity and compliance requirements into practical, risk-based guidance aligned to each client’s business objectives
Maintain a strong client focus by understanding business, technical, and regulatory drivers while building trusted client relationships
Support attestation and certification services, including development of workpapers in accordance with firm methodology and participation in report drafting
Manage project resourcing in collaboration with Partners, Directors, Senior Managers, and Managers
Communicate engagement status, risks, financials, and outcomes to clients and internal stakeholders
Identify opportunities to improve delivery efficiency, quality, and consistency through process improvement
Mentor, coach, and support team members across CMMC and other cybersecurity standards, including collaboration with offshore resources where appropriate
Share knowledge and experiences by teaching others in the practice on new approaches, execution strategies, tools, and emerging cyber standards
Support internal growth efforts by building relationships across the firm and participating in sales calls and proposal efforts
Engage with marketing and business development activities, including presentations, thought leadership, and marketing content
Contribute to the evolution of the firm’s cybersecurity offerings beyond CMMC as the practice grows
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Information Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Accounting
CMMC Certified Assessor (CCA) or passed CCA exam (pending certification acceptable)
Minimum 4+ years of experience in one or more of the following: Cybersecurity or controls assessments, Compliance or risk consulting, Internal controls implementation, SSP development and documentation, Attestation services (CMMC, FedRAMP, or similar)
Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and control-based programs (e.g., NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, ISO, SOC, FedRAMP, etc.)
Preferred
Other cybersecurity credentials (e.g., CISSP, QSA) preferred
