The Manager, Accounting is responsible for core accounting functions including month-end close, financial statement reviews, and compliance with GAAP, while also mentoring staff and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities

Manage and execute the monthly close process for their assigned areas, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time. Review financial statements and conduct detailed variance analysis to confirm accuracy and completeness, maintaining strict adherence to company policies and GAAP
Review and prepare monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations, including oversight of critical processes (Bank reconciliations, Final Account Statements) and overseeing advanced issue resolution and coordination with offshore consultants, internal teams and third-party support teams
Oversee the timely and accurate preparation and delivery of property / cafe level accounting and critical accounting functions (e.g., property taxes, bad debt, telecommunications, and concessions). This involves responding to ad-hoc financial requests from management, internal departments, and external partners
Manage key accounting functions to ensure compliance and controls (Cash deposits, Corporate Purchase Cards, Stale Dated Checks) and oversee the policy and procedures process for the Accounting Department
Proactively identify and implement process enhancements and improvements, including the utilization of new and emerging technologies
Provide supervision and mentorship to staff, encompassing performance reviews, training, and professional development

Required

Advanced knowledge of Excel (creation and use of intermediate formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP and SUMIFS)

Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience)
5 - 8 years
