Systems Administrator
Capitol Services is a leading provider of services to legal and financial professionals nationwide. The Systems Administrator will manage, maintain, and enhance the Company’s IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring security and optimal performance across systems.

Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and controls for IT infrastructure, including operating systems, applications, servers, endpoints, and cloud services
Install, configure, upgrade, and update software and systems on servers and workstations with minimal disruption
Develop, implement and test data backup and disaster recovery procedures
Create and maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures
Manage user accounts, permissions, passwords, and software licenses; ensure timely provisioning and decommissioning
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues across the organization
Conduct security audits, vulnerability assessments, and assist in security incident investigations
Manage firewall configurations, VPN infrastructure, and network security appliances; optimize secure remote access
Ensure security and compliance of cloud environments and hybrid networks; implement continuous monitoring solutions
Implement continuous monitoring solutions to detect, analyze and mitigate security risks
Identify risks, provide recommendations, and ensure systems architecture aligns with regulatory and Company security requirements
Support and administer third-party applications
Specify system requirements and design solutions to meet business needs
Communicate effectively and professionally with coworkers, vendors, and stakeholders
Manage relationships with third-party consultants and vendors as needed
Serve as a subject matter expert on IT-related projects and initiatives
Provision and support virtualization environments (e.g. VMWare) to ensure availability and performance
Configure and optimize Azure cloud resources as part of general cloud responsibilities
Administer Microsoft 365 components at a foundational level (licensing, basic services), without shifting into deep specialization
User PowerShell of similar tools to automate routine administrative tasks
Qualification
Required
You are eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and reside in Austin, TX
You have a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience
You have experience as a Systems or Network Administrator in both on-premises and cloud-based environments with expertise in management, control, and monitoring infrastructures
You have strong knowledge of networking protocols, standards, and devices
You have the ability to support end-users effectively while documenting solutions and contributing to knowledge base
You are familiar with backup and recovery software and methodologies
You have hands-on experience provisioning, tuning, and supporting VMware virtualization environments
You have strong experience administering Microsoft 365: Exchange Online, SharePoint, licensing, Intune, and collaboration optimization
You have experience with Jira Service Management for incident / ticket workflow handling
You have advanced PowerShell scripting experience for automation, orchestration, and operational efficiency
You have strong proficiency in configuring and managing VPN solutions and network connectivity
You have demonstrated experience managing and optimizing Azure cloud services, including cost-optimization and performance tuning
You have the ability to multi-task and prioritize projects / assignments
You have excellent attention to detail and exhibit a reasonable sense of urgency
You have strong verbal and written communication skills
You communicate in both a professional and friendly manner with coworkers
You are eager to use new tools and learn new processes and technologies
You can adapt to changing priorities while working in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
You have excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills to address any challenges that may arise
