Accounting Technician
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is one of the largest agencies in the state, responsible for the health and well-being of North Carolinians. The Accounting Technician position involves processing Medical Evidence of Record invoices for Social Security Disability claims and managing vendor maintenance changes within the DDS subsystems.

Responsibilities
Process Medical Evidence of Record invoices requested through Disability Determination Services (DDS) for the purpose of adjudicating the Social Security Disability claims through DDS NCPS
Data entry of vendor maintenance changes in the DDS subsystems
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in Accounting from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of accounting experience
High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and three years of experience in accounting work
An equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
Documented experience with accounts payable
Demonstrated experience with inspection/review of financial documentation
Proven experience with invoices data entry
Proven experience with evaluating financial statements/ reports
