Territory Manager/Outside Sales- Houston

Robert Madden Industries is a HVAC wholesale distributor offering various lines of residential and commercial equipment. They are seeking a motivated sales professional to join the outside sales team in Houston, responsible for implementing sales strategies, cultivating relationships with key accounts, and increasing demand for products.

Responsibilities

Implementing sales and account strategies as set out by management
Cultivating long-term relationships with key account decision makers
Delivering professional sales presentations
Soliciting new customers/contractors to increase demand for products
Carrying out sales objectives
Working closely with local manufacturing reps to identify, target and call on key players
Maintaining sales reports and forecasts
Carrying out sales objectives in order to achieve market penetration in various segments/territories to specifically promote each product line
Working closely with local manufacturing reps for ongoing product knowledge, and to identify potential customer targets
Establishing and building ongoing business relationships
Implementing plans and support for strategic accounts within specified territory in order to exceed expectations in revenue retention/growth, account profitability, and customer satisfaction/loyalty
Developing a complete understanding of the organization's structure and key buying influences of assigned account
Delivering professional sales presentations, utilizing product samples and PowerPoint slides to various individuals, including but not limited to cross functional teams, builders, developers, code officials, educators, contractors, etc. in order to advance market growth
Increasing demand for company's products by soliciting new customer/contractor calls
Maintaining a cycle of regularly scheduled calls and visits to customers; including potential job site visits
Traveling to various locations to provide ongoing training and support as requested or needed

Strong relationship building and strategic selling skills
Ability to interpret and forecast changes in customers' buying patterns and product requirements
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, profit margins, unit conversions, percentages, area and volume
Ability to identify market dynamics and quickly define and implement well-devised competitive practices
Ability to give presentations in front of various groups. Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of computer programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, PowerPoint, SAP and CRM
High School Diploma or equivalent AND 3-5 years of productive HVAC sales experience
Valid Texas Driver's License required
