Electrical Engineering Intern - Summer 2026
Enchanted Rock is a leader and innovator in distributed energy, providing reliable and ultra-clean backup generation solutions. The Electrical Engineering Intern will execute a major project covering the engineering lifecycle, learn the Systems Engineering method, and work on tasks related to R&D Engineering projects under guidance from senior team members.

Responsibilities
Execute a major project that will cover the basics of the engineering lifecycle from requirements capture through detailed design
Learn the basic steps of the Systems Engineering method
Complete projects and tasks within the R&D Engineering project portfolio
Develop and understanding of the Enchanted Rock generators set and microgrids
Understand schematics, wiring diagrams, analyze complex problems to identify root cause and develop innovative solutions under guidance from senior team members
Work across disciplines with mechanical engineers, controls and field personnel as required
Instrumentation, testing, data gathering/analysis, and field support of generator units in the fleet
Communicate with suppliers regarding component specifications and design
Attention to safety and its critical importance in the work environment
Other tasks as identified by senior team members
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent, from an ABET recognized program
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
Preferred
Communicates well with colleagues and customers, effectively and professionally
Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and contribute
Strong drive to problem-solve on a daily-basis and proactive brainstorming
Demonstrates strong analytical skills and how to apply to decision-making
