Responsibilities
Lead technical software projects, ensuring alignment with sustaining efforts and delivery schedules
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize and manage tasks and deliverables
Maintain effective communication with business leadership throughout the software development lifecycle
Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, risk assessments, change control processes, and deliverables
Ensure project strategy and execution comply with Dexcom procedures, regulatory standards, and industry requirements
Act as liaison between key program stakeholders and internal/external partners
Define software roadmaps in collaboration with Marketing, Commercial, UX and development teams
Drive process improvements and operational efficiency through cross-functional engagement
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 5-8 years related experience or Master's degree and 2-5 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 0-2 years experience
Proven ability to manage multiple software programs across diverse technologies and development stages
Strong prioritization, scheduling and organizational skills
Excellent communication skills – able to convey technical and business concepts clearly to senior leadership
Deep technical leadership experience in regulated environments, including change control and medical device design controls
Strong understanding of backend architecture, cloud-based services, iOS and Android platforms with hands-on experience managing software development through the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Proficiency with Smartsheet, Jira and Agile development methodologies
Strong leadership and team-building skills that foster collaboration and accountability
Self-starter mentality with a bias for action and the ability to deliver results independently
