Central New Mexico Community College is seeking an Instructional Support Technician to provide technical support and assistance in educational settings. The role involves setting up and maintaining instructional technology, troubleshooting technical issues, and guiding users on educational tools and software.

Responsibilities

Hire, manage, and schedule work/study students

Enforce safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in laboratories

Manage advanced equipment for experiments

Manage inventory, including ordering, cataloging, and storing tools and equipment

Manage lab budgets, including research and procurement proposals

Ensure availability of materials for instructors and support demonstrations

Guide students in safe equipment usage and troubleshoot equipment issues

Assist instructors in evaluations, conduct lab tours, and ensure safety compliance

Oversee hiring, management, and scheduling of work/study students

Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements

Provide technical support for computers, software, and related equipment

Support students in reviewing course material and problem-solving

Foster a supportive and cordial learning environment

Performs other related duties as assigned

Required

High school diploma or GED

Successful completion of thirty (30) hours of postsecondary course work

Experience with Windows, Mac, and Virtual Desktop systems

Experience with Microsoft Office

Experience tutoring at a college level

Experience maintaining and troubleshooting computer lab equipment
