Responsibilities

Build /mkt's social media presence from scratch across Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms
Define brand voice and content strategy that resonates with Gen Z retail investors and institutional capital
Create viral content frameworks that scale with athlete launches and platform milestones
Design content calendars balancing education, entertainment, and SEC/FINRA compliance
Build community engagement playbooks that turn followers into investors
Create scroll-stopping content across formats: short-form video, memes, infographics, threads, carousels
Build viral campaign frameworks for athlete IPO launches - making each offering a cultural moment
Develop content series that educate retail investors on tokenized securities without sounding boring
Create athlete-focused content that leverages their existing fanbases and social followings
Design trending content that positions /mkt as the cultural hub for sports finance
Grow followers from 0 to hundreds of thousands across platforms within first year
Build engagement loops that convert social followers into platform users
Design referral mechanics and viral growth tactics (contests, challenges, ugc campaigns)
Monitor social trends and capitalize on real-time opportunities (sports moments, cultural events)
Build influencer and partnership strategies with sports creators and finance influencers
Create compelling content within regulatory constraints
Navigate the line between 'engaging' and 'compliant' without sacrificing either
Build approval processes for athlete co-marketing that maintain compliance
Build and moderate /mkt's social communities across platforms
Develop community guidelines and moderation frameworks
Respond to questions & concerns with transparency and empathy
Create ambassador programs for power users and early adopters
Monitor sentiment and surface insights to product/leadership team
Design and execute paid social campaigns across Meta, Twitter/X, TikTok, LinkedIn
Build A/B testing frameworks for creative, copy, and targeting
Own CAC targets and conversion optimization from social to platform signup
Develop retargeting strategies for abandoned registration and investment flows
Report on social ROI and attribution across the funnel
Partner with Marketing on campaign launches and go-to-market strategy
Work with Athlete Relations on co-marketing opportunities and athlete content
Collaborate with Product on in-app social features and shareable moments
Coordinate with Creative Designer on asset production and brand consistency
Serve as internal expert on platform trends and social media best practices

Required

5+ years of social media experience with at least 2 years in a leadership or solo ownership role
Proven track record of building social accounts from scratch - show us the receipts (growth numbers, viral posts)
Fintech or finance social experience (ideally regulated industries like brokerage, banking, crypto)
Deep understanding of platform algorithms - you know how to make content perform on each channel
Content creation skills - can write viral copy, script videos, design basic graphics
SEC marketing awareness (or willingness to become expert) - you understand we can't just 'hype' things
Data-driven mindset - you measure everything and optimize based on performance

Preferred

Built social presence for a fintech startup, brokerage, or crowdfunding platform
Experience marketing financial products to retail investors (Robinhood, Public, Kalshi vibes)
Background in sports marketing, entertainment, or creator economy
Track record of viral content - campaigns with millions of organic impressions
Experience with athlete or celebrity partnerships and co-marketing
Community management experience in high-engagement, sometimes hostile environments
