Responsibilities
Process production and distribution documentation
Responsible for correspondence with customers and dispatch drivers
Communicates with drivers on day-to-day assignments
Assists with inventory
Builds base routes for drivers
Maintains handheld invoicing system
Coordinates the dock area involving the loading of trucks, shipping, and receiving
Evaluates the availability of trucks for ice delivery as well as for repairs and maintenance
Reviews driver logs and vehicle inspection reports and monitors adherence and compliance based on metric reporting
Supports DOT compliance and other safety initiatives
Receives merchandiser repair calls and dispatches service technicians
Additional duties may be assigned
Qualification
Required
1 to 2 years' experience working in a distribution environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Basic math and cash handling skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
Comfortable with a fast-paced environment and ability to shift focus to meet client needs
Must be comfortable working with handheld units
Working knowledge in Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Outlook
Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays
Preferred
Experience with Powered Industrial truck (Forklift) and electric pallet jack as related to loading products onto distribution vehicles desirable
