Responsibilities
Overseeing all phases: pre-construction, bidding, construction, and close-out
Managing budgets, schedules, and risk to meet client and agency standards
Coordinating with public agencies, designers, contractors, inspectors, and internal stakeholders
Reviewing contractor schedules, submittals, RFIs/RFCs, substitutions, and change orders
Negotiating change order proposals and assessing cost and schedule impacts
Monitoring and processing contractor, consultant, and designer payments
Administering professional service agreements (A/E contracts)
Supporting procurement, bid strategy, and contract planning
Preparing executive-level reports on project status, cost, and schedule
Resolving complex construction issues, disputes, and claims
Overseeing contractor activities on-site and completing corresponding off-site tasks as needed
All projects are located within Los Angeles County and range from requiring full-time onsite presence to infrequent travel to project sites or local offices
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in Project Management and/or Construction Management
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or a related field
Proven responsibility for all aspects of vertical projects valued at $10M–$50M+
Strong background in cost control, scheduling, contract administration, and stakeholder coordination
Experience working with public agencies
Preferred
Design-Build delivery experience
Familiarity with California public-sector processes and compliance
Skilled written and verbal communication
OSHA 30
CCM, PE, PMP, AIA, LEED AP
