Responsibilities
Guide, coach and direct the team in delivering in-depth consulting programs to select advisor firms
Collaboratively define the overall technology consulting offer
Develop strong internal relationships with your Schwab colleagues, including leaders in the sales organization and BCE team
Establish and deepen relationships with advisor firms
Evaluate and build perspectives for our client’s technology, operations, and cybersecurity strategic decisions
Presenting at workshops and speaking at conferences
Engage, develop, and inspire team members to deliver on a portfolio of consulting engagements while helping them develop as professionals
Oversee multiple technology consulting engagements simultaneously, balancing speed and depth of answer with project requirements and stakeholder needs
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience within the financial services industry that should include exposure to operations and technology in RIA firms, broker-dealers, and/or related businesses
Experience and knowledge of current technology solutions used by RIAs
Experience and knowledge of common RIA operational processes
Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and frameworks including common risk considerations
Have a combination of 10+ years of experience in technology consulting, relationship building, business consulting, and managing multiple complex engagements simultaneously
Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to think creatively about innovative technology and operations solutions that position RIAs for success
Excellent communication skills that include the ability to translate complex technical concepts into relatable, specific, and actionable plans tailored for the audience
Have well-developed presentation and consulting skills, including presenting to executive level management, as well as keynote speaking engagement experience
Strong interpersonal skills and EQ for building, influencing and maintaining close working relationships with your team, clients, internal partners and stakeholders
Exceptional consulting skills with the ability to listen, assess issues, analyze options, solve problems, influence outcomes, and develop win/win solutions
Experience staying on top of trends in technology and operations management, and the ability to identify and articulate a POV on trends to both internal and external audiences
Able to travel up to 75% of the time
Preferred
MBA or graduate degree
Direct people leadership experience highly preferred
Experience applying the Flawless consulting model and Miller Heiman process
