AGENCY PROJECT ENGINEER/ARCHITECT III
The Maryland Military Department is looking for an Agency Project Engineer/Architect III to join their team. This role involves managing engineering design reviews, site inspections, and project management of capital and operating construction projects for the agency.

Responsibilities
Provide day to day Project Management and engineering technical support services
Review documents necessary to facilitate the execution of Capital and Maintenance, Repair and O&M Construction programs
Attend project design review, pre-bid, construction progress, and post construction meetings
Provide engineering technical support to prepare preliminary investigation, plans, specifications, cost estimating, and engineering scope of work development for assigned projects
Review designs, plans, specifications, contract documents, feasibility studies, and cost analysis of projects for the agency
Process construction submittals and other contract documentation
Review contractor invoices, forward invoices to contract administrator, and maintain invoice amounts in project spreadsheets
Qualification
Required
Six years of experience, two years of experience as a design and project manager Engineer, Architect, or Surveyor for agency capital and operating construction, maintenance and system services projects and an additional four years of experience as an Engineer, Architect, or Surveyor in the building construction field involving the design, construction or repair of building structures or system services
Possession of a Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture and two years of experience as a design and project manager Engineer or Architect for agency capital and operating construction, maintenance and system services projects for the required experience
Possession of a Professional Engineer or Professional Architect registration in the State of Maryland or in a state with comparable requirements for the required experience
U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Engineering and Architecture classifications or Engineering and Architecture specialty codes in the Architecture field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required education
Common Access Card (CAC) required
Ability to pass a Federal background check in addition to a State background to access facilities and computer systems by being issued a CAC card
Ability to obtain and maintain access to the facility and CAC card as a condition of employment for this position
Preferred
Working knowledge of standard design and construction methods and procedures
Working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local building codes
