Mid LevelLakeview Search is seeking a Project Accountant to manage the financial aspects of construction projects for a growing client. The role involves ensuring compliance with accounting standards and maintaining accurate financial records while supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities
Must have certified payroll experience and ideally know NetSuite and GAAP accounting principles
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for assigned projects, including budgets, forecasts, and actuals
Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and payment processing
Perform cash flow analysis to monitor project funding and expenditures
Assist in payroll processing related to project staffing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
Support balance sheet reconciliation efforts to verify account balances are accurate
Ensure adherence to SOX compliance requirements in all financial reporting activities
Collaborate with project managers to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes
Qualification
Required

Strong understanding of debits and credits, with experience in general ledger accounting
Proficient in account reconciliation techniques and practices
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform cash flow analysis effectively
Experience in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Knowledge of balance sheet reconciliation processes is essential
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all financial documentation
Preferred
Familiarity with payroll systems and processes is preferred
Understanding of SOX compliance requirements is a plus
Ability to interpret securities law as it relates to project financing is advantageous
