Responsibilities
Define and evolve the enterprise data architecture strategy, aligning it with business and technology goals
Lead the design and implementation of data platforms, including data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time data pipelines
Develop and maintain data models, reference architectures, and data integration standards
Partner with engineering, analytics, product, and business teams to ensure data architecture supports strategic initiatives
Ensure data quality, lineage, and governance frameworks are embedded across all data systems
Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies across cloud, storage, and processing environments
Lead architecture reviews and participate in technical design across major data projects
Build and lead a team of data architects and collaborate with engineering leadership
Ensure compliance with data security, privacy regulations, and company policies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred)
10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data platforms
Proven experience in cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data stack tools (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, Kafka)
Deep understanding of data modeling, data integration, metadata management, and data governance
Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and implementing enterprise-scale data solutions
Strong communication skills to influence both technical and business stakeholders
Preferred
Experience implementing data mesh, data fabric, or other distributed data architectures
Certifications in AWS/Azure data specialties or data management frameworks (e.g., DAMA)
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, etc.)
