Sales Manager - Automation Solutions & Capital Equipment
Metric Geo is partnered with a well-established provider of engineered automation and capital equipment solutions. The Sales Manager role is designed for a proven leader with deep experience in capital equipment sales and team management, focusing on driving revenue performance and managing complex sales cycles.
Responsibilities
Direct and manage a distributed sales team to consistently meet or exceed revenue targets, while providing coaching, training, and performance management to support professional growth
Develop, implement, and track sales strategies, business development plans, and market penetration initiatives aligned with long-term automation and robotics growth objectives
Oversee the full sales lifecycle for high-value capital equipment opportunities, including forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and executive-level communication, while maintaining strong relationships with key customers, prospects, and strategic partners
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline
Significant experience leading capital equipment sales efforts
Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
Demonstrated success managing and motivating sales teams
Track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals
Experience overseeing large revenue portfolios
Preferred
Candidates from adjacent manufacturing, automotive, or industrial automation environments
Robotics exposure
Ability to grow into food or advanced automation applications
Strong business acumen
CRM proficiency
Hands-on leadership approach
