Akkodis is seeking a Sr AWS Cloud DevOPs Engineer for a Contract with a client in Cincinnati, OH. This role is responsible for managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure while ensuring secure, scalable AWS environments.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD (Jenkins/Git)
Configure and manage core AWS services—EC2, VPC, IAM, Security Groups/NACLs, Load Balancers, S3, CloudWatch—ensuring high availability and compliance
Implement security controls and integrations (e.g., Qualys, CrowdStrike, Prisma), manage SSL certificates, and enforce least‑privilege IAM policies
Set up and validate backups, storage mounts, and disaster recovery procedures; monitor logs/metrics with CloudWatch, Splunk, and New Relic
Automate operational tasks for provisioning, patching, and deployment, and troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and performance bottlenecks
Coordinate integrations with internal/external systems, maintain documentation, and drive cost optimization and capacity planning across environments

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
8–10 years of experience in Cloud DevOps, with strong hands‑on expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure
Proven ability to manage AWS core services, implement IaC using Terraform/CloudFormation, and support secure cloud operations
Experience configuring monitoring, logging, security tools, and integrating cloud systems with internal/external applications
