Build, mentor, and lead a world-class DevOps team from inception, establishing team structure, roles, and responsibilities
Develop talent acquisition strategies and hire top DevOps engineers, SREs, and automation specialists
Create career development frameworks and cultivate a high-performance culture focused on innovation and operational excellence
Establish team processes, standards, and best practices for DevOps operations
Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure to support AI/ML workloads and MSP solutions
Establish CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and deployment strategies that enable rapid, reliable software delivery
Build infrastructure-as-code practices using modern tools and frameworks
Architect monitoring, logging, and observability solutions for complex distributed systems
Define and implement SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs for platform reliability and performance
Establish incident management, on-call rotation, and post-mortem processes
Drive security best practices, compliance frameworks, and disaster recovery strategies
Optimize infrastructure costs while maintaining performance and reliability
Partner with engineering, product, and security teams to enable seamless software delivery
Collaborate with software development teams working across Python, Java, .NET, C++, and AI/ML frameworks
Bridge development and operations to foster DevOps culture across the organization
Communicate technical strategies and infrastructure roadmaps to executive leadership
Develop multi-year DevOps and infrastructure roadmaps aligned with business objectives
Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, tools, and practices in the DevOps ecosystem
Establish metrics and KPIs to measure team performance and infrastructure health
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all operational domains
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience building and leading software development operations and DevOps teams
Proven track record of building DevOps teams from scratch or scaling teams in high-growth environments
Deep technical expertise in: Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP) with production-scale experience
Container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker, ECS)
CI/CD tools and practices (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD)
Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi)
Configuration management (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
Monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog)
Software development experience with multiple languages including: Python (automation, scripting, tooling)
Java (enterprise applications, microservices)
.NET (Windows-based applications and services)
C++ (performance-critical systems)
AI/ML frameworks and deployment considerations
Strong understanding of networking, security, and database technologies
Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Preferred
Experience in AI/ML operations (MLOps) and supporting data science teams
Background in the MSP industry or B2B SaaS platforms
Experience with multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architectures
Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CKA, or equivalent
Track record of implementing FinOps practices and cloud cost optimization
Experience with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR)
Open-source contributions or technical thought leadership
