Base Experience Team Lead
Vail Resorts is a leading company in the hospitality and outdoor recreation industry, and they are seeking a Base Experience Team Lead. This full-time, year-round position is responsible for leading public safety and guest services operations, ensuring world-class guest service while fostering a culture of safety and trust among guests and employees.

Responsibilities
Providing Epic Service to our teams and our guests
Snow Removal as needed
Assist guests & employees in navigating conflict
Be a leader through service- Develop and create leaders
Interviewing, hiring, scheduling, payroll processing of employees and applicants
Work closely with local law enforcement and regulatory agencies
Handle internal and external investigations as assigned
Training, staff development and progressive discipline, including proper documentation thereof
Ensure everyone on the team goes home safely every day
Assisting ticket staff as requested for fraudulent pass use
Manages departmental budgets and purchasing
Facilitates resort lost and found
Create and implement new policies and procedures when necessary
Ensure daily shift pass down reports are completed and proper follow up with individuals and departments takes place
Assist with traffic control, parking operations, and enforcement
Assist with policy enforcement within employee housing
Ensure the proper use of company equipment and vehicles
Ensure prompt and accurate reporting in regard to correcting safety issues
Participate in Base Operations weekly meetings
Be an active participant in the Kirkwood Community as well as company initiatives and functions
Help plan and drive employee events
Operate and conduct business with the Company Values in mind
Maintain a neat and clean appearance and meet the Company appearance and uniform policy
Collect all pertinent data from tenants, including vehicle information, emergency contacts, work departments, work supervisors, etc

Qualification
Required
Minimum 5 years' experience in Hospitality, Guest Services, Security or related field
Professionalism and strong guest service skills, attention to detail and timeliness
Minimum 5 years previous leadership experience
Strong fiscal acumen and basic understanding of contracts & accounting
Flexible schedule required during peak times throughout the year
Ability to speak read, write and communicate clearly in English. Ability to read and comprehend complex correspondence
Ability to lead change and lead through service
Must be willing learn new things
Must be well versed in behavioral interviewing, de-escalation tactics and restorative conversations
Have a high degree of emotional intelligence
Must have great time-management and be self-directed
Must have excellent computer skills, including: Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook
Must have the ability to learn new software systems
Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds
Must be able to stand for up to 6 hours at a time
Ability to pass background check
Clean and current drivers license
Ability to work outside in varying and extreme weather conditions
Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays

Preferred
Associate or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University
Hold California Guard Card, or ability to obtain
Proficient skier or snowboarder
Knowledge of ski resort operations
Ability to speak and understand basic Spanish is highly preferred, although not required
