The role involves supervising residents in both inpatient and outpatient settings, teaching, and mentoring, while demonstrating a commitment to residency education.

Responsibilities
Supervision of residents in both inpatient and ambulatory settings
Private half day clinic embedded within the resident clinic
One weekend per four-week block
Overnight phone coverage call 1 in 7
Mentoring of both residents and medical students
Teaching and core curriculum lectures
Demonstrate dedication to Residency education and be a role model of professionalism
Qualification
Required
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Passion for education
Interest in teaching in both inpatient and outpatient settings
ABIM Board Eligible/Certified in Internal Medicine
Eligible for licensure in the state of NC
Interest/experience in scholarly efforts (QI/LEAN or research)
Supervision of residents in both inpatient and ambulatory settings
