Start in 2026 SummerHastings Insurance Company is offering a Summer 2026 Internship Program for students to gain hands-on experience in insurance claims. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals, learning the full claim handling lifecycle and participating in meaningful projects within a collaborative culture.

Responsibilities
Work alongside experienced Claim Adjusters to learn the full claim handling lifecycle
Use Hastings Insurance systems and tools to support real-world claim evaluation and settlement
Communicate professionally with internal teams, agents, and policyholders
Support daily departmental operations and assist with active claims
Participate in individual and team-based projects aligned with Claims and company-wide initiatives
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program from an accredited institution
Majoring in Insurance, Risk Management, or another business-related field
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work a full-time schedule for the duration of the internship
Ability to work at least one day per week in our Hastings, Michigan office
Familiarity with common business applications, such as Microsoft Office
Preferred
Junior- and Senior-level students are preferred, though all class levels will be considered
3.0 or higher within your major is preferred
Prior internship or part-time work experience is helpful, but not required
