Responsibilities

Read and interpret engineering drawings and requirements to translate to process planning that produces conforming hardware
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and production, to ensure successful program execution
Assist, develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process instructions, manufacturing bills of materials and routings
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices
Provide Design for manufacturability and assembly feedback
May design and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-efficiency

Required

Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
Experience with manufacturing and assembly of space hardware
Experience working within ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP
Experience working within PLM software to manage parts, assemblies and documentation
Proficiency in machining, GD&T and assembly processes
Experience with process optimization, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to manufacturing processes
