They are seeking a Telecom NOC Engineer to maintain SolarWinds and troubleshoot network issues while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
Use Skywire’s monitoring tools (SolarWinds, SalesForce and others), configs, and documentation to diagnose and resolve customer and network issues
Work hands-on with OSS, NMS, and BSS platforms that keep a mission critical network running
You can update SolarWinds Observability and create dashboards, reports and troubleshoot, optimize and fine tune our installation
Provide clear, timely updates to customers and internal teams through tickets, email, and phone
Configure and support switches, routers, CPE, and other network hardware (multi-vendor favoring Juniper)
Voice systems support
Identify opportunities to automate operations services
Occasionally join the on-call rotation with other NOC engineers. Overnight hours could be required from time to time
Troubleshoot customer and carrier issues end-to-end — collaborating with various internal teams and customers
Qualification
Required
NOC engineer history
Strong communication and customer-facing skills; you can explain issues clearly and help guide customers as needed
Ability to stay organized and work under shifting priorities and fast-paced timelines
A working understanding of NOC workflows: escalation paths, incident management, and change processes
Solid networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, IP addressing, telnet/SSH
SolarWinds experience maintaining the system
Exposure to wired and wireless networking in enterprise or residential environments
Experience with RADIUS, DHCP, DNS, and routing protocols is helpful
Quality-driven performance with reliable follow-through on issue
Minimum 5-10 years' experience at NOC engineer
Bachelor's degree in engineering, IT, computer science, or equivalent NOC or network experience
JNCIA, CCNA, CCNP or equivalent network experience
SolarWinds experience needed
Must be eligible to work within the US
Preferred
Juniper experience is preferred; other vendor backgrounds are welcome
Wireless experience is a plus
SalesForce experience a plus
