Responsibilities
Manage AP team and general ledger staff
Preparation of financial statements and schedules for internal leadership and external stakeholders
Review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial results
Prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries
Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and best accounting practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper accounting treatment and data integrity
Assist in developing and documenting accounting policies and procedures
Provide accounting guidance on new transactions, projects, and operational changes Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve controls, and enhance reporting efficiency
Support system enhancements, ERP upgrades, and automation initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including people management or lead responsibilities
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards
Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation
Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
CPA or CMA certification
Experience in consumer-packaged goods (CPG), food manufacturing, or manufacturing environments
Public accounting experience (Big 4 or National Firm)
Proficiency in Spanish (written and spoken)
Experience with SAP ECC and/or S/4 HANA
