Responsibilities
Work with the design team to develop and oversee engineering project designs for grading, drainage, roadways, and utilities
Prepare and review engineering calculations, design plans, specifications, and construction documents
Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other software for detailed project design
Prepare technical reports, design specifications, and cost estimates
Ensure compliance with California environmental and regulatory requirements
Maintain organized records of engineering plans and revisions
Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and other project stakeholders
Work with cross-disciplinary teams, including surveyors, architects, and planners
Participate in project meetings, providing technical expertise and recommendations
Review engineering plans for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
Conduct field inspections and assist in resolving design-related issues
Implement engineering best practices to improve efficiency and project outcomes
Provide guidance and mentorship to entry-level engineers and technical staff
Assist in training junior engineers on design processes and regulatory standards
Support senior engineers in developing project strategies and execution plans
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
California P.E. license in Civil Engineering is required
Must possess 5-10 years' experience in Civil Engineering
Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Civil3D
Preferred
Public Agencies, Grading Plans, Hydrology, & Land Development is a plus
