Responsibilities

Analyze, provide advice on, and draft and review memoranda, agreements, and other documentation related to legal, policy, and transactional matters
Advise on the accounts and financial services provided to domestic financial institutions, the U.S. government, government-sponsored enterprises, and other eligible entities
Advise on New York Fed lending, collateral, and credit risk management activities pursuant to ordinary and emergency authorities
Advise on Federal Reserve policy initiatives in payment and market infrastructures and related financial innovation
Advise on the New York Fed’s activities in open market operations, U.S. Treasury auctions, foreign exchange trading, and U.S. dollar reserve management for international official-sector institutions
Advise on Federal Reserve regulatory and supervisory authority over banks, bank holding companies, U.S. branches of foreign banks, and financial market utilities

Required

Juris doctor with extensive experience providing legal advice on at least one of the following: financial services, clearing and settlement services, secured lending, structured finance, financial innovation, and banking supervision or regulation
Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including exceptional drafting skills, particularly with respect to transactional documents and legal research memoranda, and extensive experience drafting and negotiating contracts
A strong focus on client service and a proven track record of working both independently and collaboratively on teams
Admission to the New York State bar (or a commitment to seek admission in New York and admission in a jurisdiction that has established reciprocity with New York)
