Responsibilities
Provide critical support to underwriters on end-to-end underwriting processes, from initial submission review through policy issuance and post-bind activities
Examine documents such as application forms, inspection reports, insurance maps and past claims to determine degree of risk
Operate and maintain proficiency in various underwriting systems
Manage multiple workflows and maintain visibility into task status and deadlines
Assist in creating quotes, binders, certificates, and endorsements
Ensure all documentation is properly filed and compliant with audit standards
Review policies and discuss changes with underwriters
Collaborates and corresponds with internal and external contacts
Monitor account receivables and assist the accounting team with reconciliation
Contribute to special projects and assignments as needed
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of commercial property
1-3 years of commercial underwriting experience
Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word skills
Ability to multi-task and adapt to rapidly changing processes
