The Public Utility Commission of Texas is seeking a Post-Graduate Legal Advisor to join their Office of Policy and Docket Management. This role offers recent law school graduates the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in administrative law and utility regulation while supporting the Commission Advising section in complex regulatory and contested cases.

Conduct legal and policy research

Draft memoranda and briefing materials
Assist attorneys in advising the Commissioners on high-impact issues affecting electric, telecommunications, and water and sewer utilities
Qualification
Required
Graduation from an accredited law school with a Juris Doctor (JD), Doctor of Jurisprudence, or Master of Laws (LLM) degree
Registered to sit for the February Texas Bar Examination
Continued employment beyond the release of Texas Bar Examination results is contingent upon successful passage of the Texas Bar and meeting the qualifications for promotion to Attorney I
Preferred
Internship experience relating to electric, telecommunications, or water and sewer utilities or with a regulatory state agency
