This internship will provide students with hands-on experience in the insurance industry, focusing on daily responsibilities and projects within the Claims department.

Responsibilities
Support of one major project over the 10 weeks directly correlated to the Claims department
Assignment to support up to 3 smaller projects that Claims department is working on over the summer
Attendance at the Claims management meeting with exposure to Claims leadership
May be responsible for reviewing the coding of claims and updating special instructions
Opportunity to attend a trial or mediation providing experience of seeing the negotiation in process
Preparation prior to and debrief directly following this experience
Qualification
Required
Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor's degree
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
