Quality Assurance Manager for Faculty Qualifications

Texas State Technical College is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager for Faculty Qualifications to ensure the quality, integrity, and consistency of the faculty qualifications process. This role involves managing the faculty qualifications lifecycle, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, and supporting broader planning and assessment initiatives.

Responsibilities

Leads end-to-end management of the faculty qualifications lifecycle, from initial documentation through final approval, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with institutional and accreditation standards
Develops and implements process improvements that enhance consistency, transparency, and efficiency across campuses and academic divisions
Ensures the integrity of faculty qualification data collection, entry, and documentation
Reviews and verifies faculty qualification materials, including justification documentation for alternative credentialing requests, ensuring adherence to approved standards
Ensures institutional compliance with SACSCOC, THECB, and internal policy requirements through ongoing policy review, data monitoring, validation, and reporting
Conducts regular audits and validation checks of faculty qualifications data repositories (including SPOL and Workday) to proactively identify and resolve discrepancies
Maintains and enhances the Faculty Qualifications module in SPOL and related systems, ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and appropriate controls
Monitors qualification timeliness, accuracy, and completion, providing regular reports and recommendations to partners
Creates and delivers training for campus leaders and HR partners using standardized tools, templates, and job aids to promote consistent credentialing practices
Recommends and implements system enhancements that improve automation, tracking, and reporting capabilities
Builds and sustains strong partnerships with Human Resources, Directors of Alignment, Deans, Curriculum, and Campus Leadership to ensure shared accountability and clear communication
Promotes a culture of accountability and continuous improvement by clarifying expectations, timelines, and shared ownership of credentialing outcomes
Collaborates on strategic initiatives that connect faculty credentialing with broader institutional priorities related to student learning, workforce alignment, and operational excellence
Participates in institutional planning and assessment cycles, supporting program review, planning documentation, and reporting
Assists with data collection, analysis, and documentation for Planning & Assessment initiatives and contributes to the development of streamlined, consistent processes

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and education
Three to four years of experience in higher education, human resources, teaching and learning, accreditation, institutional effectiveness, or a related field
Relevant experience beyond the minimum may be considered in lieu of a degree in accordance with TSTC equivalency standards
Experience evaluating faculty qualifications or working with statewide standards, policies, and compliance or accreditation requirements
Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage detailed workflows, interpret standards, and collaborate effectively across departments
Demonstrated ability to manage complex, detail-driven qualification and compliance workflows with accuracy and consistency
Ability to interpret accreditation standards, institutional policy, and qualification criteria and apply them with sound judgment
Strong analytical and organizational skills, including the ability to audit data, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across academic, operational, and administrative teams
Ability to develop and deliver training, guidance, and documentation that supports consistent understanding and execution of faculty credentialing requirements
Proficiency in using systems and tools to track documentation, monitor status, and support reporting and decision-making

Preferred

Master's degree
Experience supporting accreditation and institutional policy compliance
Experience with digital document management systems
Project management or process improvement experience
